Reacting to heat, the shoes reveal a vibrant, multi-colored pattern. Arriving in all-black, the sneakers are accentuated with the sportswear giant’s logo in pixelated form on the tongue, while Civilist tags are subtly stitched just beneath the Swoosh on the laterals. When exposed to heat, the Dunk Lows unveil an infrared-inspired pattern boasting shades of yellow, orange, green and blue. Black stitching details across the upper add contrast to the design, highlighting the overall silhouette. Rounding off the kicks, Nike’s branding is embroidered on the heel, while the midsole comes in white.

This collaborative rendition of the Vans Rowley XLT is a testament to art and edginess. Nike Air Max 1 “Familia”

NIKE, Inc. has vocalized its commitment to the Latino community over the last three years unlike ever before, adding representatives to its board of directors, amongst other initiatives. One such endeavor that’s become a mainstay over the last few years has been full-on collections to coincide with Hispanic Heritage Month, a month-long celebration that kicks off September 15th. Previous efforts have included Nike Sportswear classics like the Air Max 1, and 2023’s will be no different. Initially the multi-colored pair was believed to be part of an expansive Día de Muertos collection, but Nike has confirmed with us the sneaker’s “Familia” theme. Akin to past footwear designed through the lens of Hispanic heritage, the upcoming take on Tinker Hatfield’s iconic creation features a medley of eye-catching colors throughout its upper and sole unit. Vibrant pink and yellow join forces with green and orange hues to inject life into the shoes’ sand-colored base. Familiar panels are given untraditional texture to ostensibly nod to cultural touchpoints from the Spanish-speaking world. The result is a fun Air Max offering that speaks to the vibrancy of Latin American culture. The tried-and-proven tooling also indulges in animated colors, but forgoes any reference to the sneaker’s theme. Nike Air Force 1 Low "Halloween"

Halloween has always been a big holiday for Nike, but this year it seems they’re putting in quite a bit more effort. Alongside candy corn-inspired Dunks from SB, the Swoosh will be dressing up the Air Force 1 in an appropriately spooky colorway. Quite a bit more festive in design than that of the releases from 2022, the Nike Air Force 1 “Halloween 2023” begins with a blacked-out base, whose construction alternates between a tumbled leather and an embossed snakeskin. Ghastly shades of green, then, paint the patterned outsole, while bright oranges highlight not only the Nike text at the tongue but also the menacing Jack-o’-Lantern printed onto the insoles. Said ghoulish pumpkin makes yet another appearance on the exterior, accessorizing the lace unit in a silver-casted finish./>

HUF x Nike Air Max 1

Thanks to the Swoosh, 2024 is brewing up to be a pretty great year for sneakers. Alongside the release of several highly-anticipated Jordans, we can expect the return of many a past classic, including but not limited to the HUF x Nike Air Max 1 from 2004. Confirmed by @bubblekoppe earlier today, HUF and Nike are reprising their partnership in the honor of the 20th anniversary of the above-mentioned Air Max 1. Though no other details have been unveiled just yet, it’s possible we’ll be receiving a true Retro of said release, complete with its “Dark Apple” accents and neutral-dominant upper. But given that the GR was accompanied by not only a Hyperstrike variant but also two unreleased samples, there’s plenty of opportunity for the brands to turn the celebration into something much bigger than a single sneaker.
