The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Lucky Green” Inspired By MJ’s 63-Point Game Against Boston

Michael Jordan’s NBA career is laden with accolades, from MVP awards to championships. And while they’ve all been brought to sneaker form via NIKE, Inc.’s Air Jordan line, these tangible achievements have been accompanied by #23’s jaw-dropping, record-breaking performances. The women’s Jordan 1 High “Lucky Green” revisits one such example: a 63-point game against the Boston Celtics in 1986.

Previous pairs of Jordan’s first signature sneaker have commemorated the double-overtime loss, but not like the forthcoming release. Genuine matted leather indulges in “White” and “Lucky Green” hues, with the latter overtaking most overlays. Unstitched eyelets nod to the idea of “progress, not perfection,” fitting given that the Chicago Bulls squad lost despite Jordan’s post-season scoring record. Branding on the tongue and lateral ankle, as well as detailing on the spine, opt for scarlet flair. Yet, arguably the most iconic component of this Jordan 1 is the parquet floor-inspired insole in each shoe, an ode to Boston’s old court...
