Nike Dunk Low “Thank You For Caring”

Nike may receive praise for handling the return of the Dunk well, but if you paid attention throughout the past year, you’d see that the brand is getting crazier and crazier with time, something that near mirrors the silhouette’s fall years prior. And in 2021, it looks like they’re still taking the designs up another notch as they present the patchworked, pattern-heavy “Thank You For Caring” Dunk Low. Similar to Travis Scott’s collaborations, the pair places various prints and fabrics across each panel individually. The toe cap as well as the toe box seem to complement, however, as the accents from the former play well with the full red coating seen atop the latter. Behind, the eye stays opt for a similar treatment — dressing a seemingly woven base with floral details — while the mid-panel contrasts heavily, its dark brown ostensibly ripped from the bags of imaginary product. The back counter, which grounds its collar with a forest green, then mixes in deeper references to skateboarding as Element’s insignia is stamped in thick, oblique lines.
