Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon”

Every one of Nike’s models has that one colorway no one will stop talking about. For the Air Max 90, that would be the “Bacon,” a 2004 collaboration by the gone but not forgotten DQM. Thankfully, fans of the original are to receive their first-ever retro of the release later this month. The meat-inspired scheme, which was rather novel almost two decades ago, draws on everyone’s favorite breakfast food, something DQM founder Dave Ortiz landed on just days before his deadline. Hunger-inducing, the “Bacon” sparks the image of the prime cut with its deep red accents and brighter pink details. Fatty creams dress alongside, complementing the dark, burnt browns of the midsole, eyelets, and branded tabs. For another look, see the detailed imagery below. A release is currently set to hit Nike SNKRS and select retailers on March 26th, Air Max Day.
