adidas Yeezy Day 2021 Scheduled For August 2nd

From presidential bids to highly-anticipated podcast appearances, Kanye West has had a high-profile year. And while the full-scope of Mr. West’s 2021 is yet to pan out, one thing has already been guaranteed: adidas YEEZY will continue delivering footwear of the future from the mind of the DONDA-frontman. Although new silhouettes are in the works (Yeezy D Rose, anyone?), a handful of new YEEZY 350 options were confirmed in October. The general sentiment among sneaker enthusiasts towards the model perceives it as “played-out,” but teaser mock-ups of “Ash Blue,” “Ash Stone” and “Ash Pearl” colorways have been well-received. The YEEZY 700‘s third version debuted at the tail-end of 2019, but has followed a relatively slow release cycle. A two-tone arrangement (dubbed “Kyanite”) of the YEEZY 700 V3 is slated to change that in early 2021, but it’s arguably been overshadowed by a yellow-and-orange take on Yeezy‘s original “dad shoe” – at least for now. No rumors have emerged just yet, but YEEZY Slides and the YEEZY Foam Runner are bound (2)to release in a variety of new colors throughout the year, especially if further quarantining is required. As seen throughout 2020, there’s a notable demand for Yeezy retros. To this end, ‘ye may surprise everyone by reissuing the Yeezy 750 or “Turtledove” and “Beluga” colorways of the original 350 and its V2 iteration, respectively. And if the 2024 presidential hopeful finally gets on adidas‘ board, the world may finally get Nike Air Yeezy reissues (“the people” still want those, right?) given that he’s given the Swoosh his blessing and promised his first pillar to be a collaboration between both brands to “support community growth.”
