Nike Air Force 1 Low “SiEMPRE Familia”

With the Día de Muertos celebration inching closer, the Swoosh has revealed official images of its commemorative Nike Air Force 1 Low “SiEMPRE Familia.” Unveiled alongside an Air Jordan 1 Mid and handful of apparel items, the latest take on Bruce Kilgore’s iconic 1982-design indulges in a color palette and details often associated with the spiritual and mythical after-life as it’s widely-interpreted in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries. Ornate profile swooshes introduce green and yellow tones into the mix, while the underlays atop which they’re placed boast equally-decorative arrangements. The upper’s predominantly orange and black styling nods to Mictlán, the nine levels of the underworld through which souls of the dead must pass, via intricate sculpting and pebbled patterns, as well as other motifs. Heels between left and right shoes come together to nod to the capsule’s “SiEMPRE Familia” name, which translates to “always family.” Enjoy official images of the low-top Air Force 1 here below. The “SiEMPRE Familia” collection arrives to Nike Mexico on October 24th and 26th, with a global Nike SNKRS launch taking place October 29th.
