Partially teased last week, Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2020 collection was first introduced with their series of “Modern” silhouettes — the Spiz’ike 270 Boot, the Zoom 92, and the Delta SP. But today, the Jumpman has finally officially announced the Retro we’ve all been waiting for: the Air Jordan 4 OG “Fire Red.”
And in a vein similar to the past two years, we’re to see a spec as close to original as possible, all the 1989 details loyally recreated with modern 2020 construction. OG color blocking, as is appropriate, leads the entire release, its titular shade placed atop the heel and tongue branding, the inner lining, tread, and the eye stay molds at both ends of the lace unit. Elsewhere, white leathers construct the foundation in what appears to be premium quality while black contrasts against the midsole, counter, and profile at the points already familiar. What’s more, the pair will also include a nostalgic Nike Air hangtag along with the colorway’s original packaging.
