When eventually looking back on the sneaker releases that went down in the year 2020, there’s no question that the Jumpman’s initiatives for the Air Jordan 4 will rank towards the top of the most revered. Thus far, its projects with Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White and Chris Gibbs’ Union imprint were among the ones leading the charge, and now the silhouette is readying even more installments for its fans this holiday season. Apart from the much anticipated return of the OG “Fire Red” makeup, the Air Jordan 4 “Deep Ocean” will soon make its way to the market.
Arguably the most wildly-styled AJ4 iteration that we’ve seen to-date, these are intricately designed with an upper that blends together canvas and twill materials, both of which are decorate with that of patchwork patterns influenced by Japanese craftwork. Titular hues run the length of its upper by latching onto the base layers, cages, and heel pieces, and are color-blocked with subtly-placed notes of red atop the tongue branding and laces. You can find a closer look here, and note that they’ll be dropping across retailers outside of North America within the coming months.
