fragment design x Air Jordan 3 Retro SP

Hiroshi Fujiwara, perhaps the godfather of the modern day fashion collaboration, is in cahoots with Jordan Brand once again on the Air Jordan 3 silhouette. Although previewed earlier, today we get a look at Nike official images, clearly depicting the silhouette stripped of its signature elephant print and replaced with a smooth black leather toe/heel/mudguard package, a classic white tumbled leather, and the double-bolt logo pressed into the heel and shrouded beneath the translucent heel. Another hit of co-branding is seen on the insoles, while technical data is printed right above the visible Air unit.

Fujiwara’s imprint is responsible for perhaps one of the most sneaker collaborations of the modern era – the fragment Jordan 1 that dropped in late 2014. It was the first of Jordan Brand’s “Remastered” efforts that went in full force in 2015, and certainly one of the first Air Jordan 1s before the world fully embraced the retro silhouette.
